Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur is the first Ayurved University of Rajasthan and is the second University of it's kind in India. it was established by RAU Act -2002 (Act No. 15 of 2002) which came into force w.e.f. may 24, 2003 vide Gazette Notification no. F25 (6) Ay. /2000 dated May 24,2003. This university gives affiliation to all the colleges/institutions of Ayurved, Unani, Homeopathy and Yoga & Naturopathy for the Ph.D, PG, UG, Diploma and Certificate courses. This university gives admission to its degree courses through Joint Entrance Test at National level/ State level.

University pharmacy is GMP certified pharmacy where numerous Herbal & Herbo mineral medicines are prepared continously. There is DTL Lab in pharmacy where prepared drugs are tested.
More than 300 spices of medicinal plants are present in university herbal medicine garden. Along with this Nakshtra Vatika, Rashi Vatika, Navgraha Vatika, Phala Vatika, Bilva Vatika, Nirgundi Vatika and Guggulu Vatika etc are present.
University has separate boys & girls hostels. Hostels are equppied with 24/7 internet facility, security guard, security camera with care takers.
University has well developed Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam central library in the university campus which is equipped with more than 19,000 books, national & international journals, magzines, newsletters, PG & PhD thesis, internet facility, full air conditioned reading room facility & RFID etc
